HISTORY
Grayshott Pottery was
established in 1956. Its origins can, however, be traced back to
the Compton Pottery built near Guildford at the turn of the century
by Mary Watts, wife of the famous Victorian painter, Frederick Watts.
Grayshott has built an international reputation producing fine stoneware
and porcelain shapes and designs.
THE FUTURE
Having established a reputation for quality and innovative designs,
we are expanding into new markets. We are using top designers to
produce reduction stoneware in the ancient Chinese tradition, each
piece being hand-painted and
signed by our skilled potters.

HISTORY
Grayshott pottery is one of the first in England to perfect these
techniques in a true production environment.

housed in an old 19th century building. The shop's spacious and
relaxed atmosphere offers every gift imaginable, from our own pottery
to crystal glass, jewellery, cards, toys, fabrics and toiletries.
We have a superb coffee shop and restaurant, which leads onto a
delightful courtyard patio. Visitors can watch the potters at work.
