End Of School Term Marks Over 40 Years Of Leavers Mugs Donated

With the school year coming to an end, MD Glenn Myers recently presented the year 6 pupils at Grayshott Primary School with personalised leavers mugs; a lovely memento of their time at the school.

This has been a tradition that’s taken place for over 40 years, with Grayshott Pottery proudly donating more than 1000 mugs to year 6 leavers, over the years.

Situated just next door, the pottery has always had a close relationship with Grayshott Primary, with many of our staff attending the school themselves…Albeit some years ago.

In fact, Glenn fondly remembers the time he was presented with his own leavers mug, when he finished school in the 1980s.

“I’m honoured to be able to present the pupils leaving the school this year with their mugs, and we hope they’ll keep them to look back on in years to come” commented Glenn. “We’ve had members of staff and customers show us their leavers mugs that they were presented some 30/40 years ago, so it’s great to carry on this tradition with Grayshott Primary.”
