Grayshott Pottery Continue to ‘Go Green’

Grayshott Pottery have always tried to do our bit for the environment, so over the past couple of years we have been consciously making changes to the workshop in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

The first of these green developments was in 2015, when we installed 103 solar panels on the factory roof, to produce power for the pottery in an environmentally friendly way.

The latest upgrade has been the addition of new energy efficient LED lighting in the workshop. Managing Director Glenn Myers, contacted local Grayshott based company, Light Lines, for advice. With business owner, Peter Norman’s recommendations, we now have lights that are up to 80% more efficient than traditional lighting, with the benefit of 95% of the energy in the LED being converted into light and only 5% is wasted as heat.
