We’re delighted to have donated 200 ceramic poppies to Grayshott Parish Council to be displayed at the village war memorial to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1. Last week Glenn Myers, our Managing Director, assisted the parish councillors to help plant the specially created commemorative poppies.
30 of the 200 poppies we donated have also been fixed to planks of wood, kindly provided by Condie Tree Care, as a permanent memorial to represent the 30 servicemen who are named on the war memorial and lost their lives during WW1.
Local businesses, Trusted PC Man and Bryanston Electrical, have also donated CCTV equipment and power supply respectively to ensure the safety of the memorial.
Laura Musco, Assistant Parish Clerk, said: “the Council is very grateful for the support it has had with this initiative from local businesses who are donating their time and materials.”
If you’d like to purchase your own ceramic commemorative poppy, you can do so on our online shop, here, or in store. £5 from every poppy sale is being donated to The Royal British Legion.
We’re also selling ‘Remembrance’ platters to support the charity, with a £20 donation being made from every sale. You can view and purchase the platter online, here, or by visiting the emporium.
